Macbeth theme
Macbeth theme-one thing leads Essay In the general, a person will unexpectedly encounter a very important event. This event could be decision-maker or chanced one. In a decision-making event, the decision becomes the determinant of a set of sequence of events. In a chanced event, it is pure chance. This generalization applies not only to real life situations but also to literary pieces of work. A decision-making event is implemented in Shakespeares play, Macbeth. In life, it would be more likely a chanced one. When one event is put in action, a chain of events will follow about thus implementing the theme One thing leads to another. In Macbeth, a certain situation occurred that puts into motion a set of chained events. This situation is when Macbeth first met the three weird sisters in the beginning part of the play. The three weird sisters introduced two prophecies to Macbeth. The first prophecy is All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Cawdor. (Act 1, Scene 3). The second prophecy is All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be King hereafter! (Act 1, Scene 3) The prophecies of the three witches spark up a flare in Macbeths mind. After the first of the two prophecies came true, he was faced with the decision to assassin King Duncan or to sit down calmly and do nothing about it. Macbeths final decision was to kill the king and thus fulfilling the second prophecy of the three weird sisters. Macbeths decision of treason is the consequential beginning of the chain of events. As a result of becoming King of Scotland, Macbeth became very cautious and suspicious in order to secure his well being. Macbeths friend and fellow comrade, Banquo, is a righteous and honorable man. In this quote He hath wisdom that doth guide his valor to act in safety. There is none but he whose being I do fear (Act 3, Scene 1), Macbeth is afraid of Banquos being because he might disrupt his rein as king.As a result, Macbeth had to kill Banquo in order to feel that his throne was secure for the moment being. In this quote O, treachery! Fly, good Fleance, fly, fly, fly! (Act 3, Scene 3), Banquo is slain by the men of Macbeth. The slaying of Banquo is an event in a chain of events resulting from King Duncans Death. After the slaying of Banquo, Macbeth is safe for the while being but yet another concern has risen amidst Macbeths noblemen. Following the slaying of Banquo, Macbeth has to make sure that he is secured of his throne and life. He went to ask the three weird sisters of his future as the King of Scotland. The three sisters showed Macbeth three visions. The first vision is an armed head apparition saying Beware Macduff! Beware Thane of Fife! (Act 4, Scene 1). The second vision is a bloody child saying, The powr of man, for none of woman born shall harm Macbeth (Act 4, Scene 1). The third vision is a crowned child with a tree in his hand saying, Macbeth shall never vanquished be until Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill shall come against him (Act 4, Scene 1). After hearing these visions, Macbeth was quite confident of his well being. But to eliminate anymore threats, he was determined to destroy the enemy before the enemy had a chance to strike at him. He ordered the deaths of Macduff and his family (Act 4, Scene 2). Fortunately, Macduff escaped to England where he combined forces with King Duncans son, Malcolm, and proposed retaking the throne of Scotland. The slayings of Macduffs family is a subsequent event that followed the death of Banquo and is a distant but close consequential result of Macbeth killing King Duncan. This sets in motion the finale of Macbeths throne and his life. After Malcolm and Macduff rallied up enough troops, they attacked Macbeths castle. .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14 , .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14 .postImageUrl , .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14 , .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14:hover , .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14:visited , .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14:active { border:0!important; } .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14:active , .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14 .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u13c8f47fb3629219f38761349fc54c14:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Apparts Jacob Riis Essay Malcolms army camouflaged themselves in branches and leaves thus fulfilling the prophecy of Great Birnam woods moving to Dunsinane. School elections free essay sample
Behind every unmotivated employee is a leadership problem waiting to be solved. Yet many leaders see motivation as a game of rewards and punishment. Forget the cash. Forget the threats. To engage todayââ¬â¢s workforce, a leader is well advised to seek the heart of what moves people: their three basic psychological needs. What About Sales Incentives? Variable compensationââ¬âcommissions, bonuses, incentives, and so onââ¬âis a given in sales organizations. Self-Determination Theory recognizes the reality of externalmotivators in a sales environment, and advises that to support internal motivation in salespeople, how the leader uses these incentives makes all the difference. Salespeople can suffer serious psychological harm if sales leaders overemphasize incentives to pressure or ââ¬Å"motivateâ⬠people to reach sales goals. In these cases, salespeople experience stress and burnout, focus less on customers and more on money, and can resort to unethical actions to gain the rewards Observing these problems, many leaders assume thatemployees, having secured food and shelter, become passive. While itââ¬â¢s safe to say that many leaders will continue using these methods to motivate employees, literally scores of peer-reviewed studies since the 1970s have confirmed the negative impact of external rewards. Among the startling findings: 1. Rewards consistently undermine sustained, longterm motivation and performance. Rewards for something employees already like to do especially undermine motivation and performance. 3. Rewards make it more difficult for employees to be creative and solve complex problems. Consider a simple example. In the 1993 Wimbledon final, Jana Novotna led the great Steffi Graf 6-7, 6-1, and was serving at 40-30 for a 5-1 lead in the final set. But Novotna double-faulted, then lost the game, and 10 minutes later lost the match. Any or all of the SDT findings may have figured into Novatnaââ¬â¢s collapse:

The Great Chicago Fire essays
The Great Chicago Fire essays At 9:45 p.m. on a Sunday, it was bedtime for most people in the booming city of Chicago, Illinois. But it was around this time on October 9, 1871 when the fire alarm rang in box 342. This was the first of three alarms that were set off, the third and final being a general alarm that summoned every available engine in the area to the scene. Flames were seen rising from a small stable behind a house near the corner of De Koven and Jefferson streets. Just as quickly as the fire could be put out, it had spread to another building. Little did they know at the time, but this was the start of one of the most destructive fires in history; a catastrophe was underway. This extremely devastating disaster was not a complete loss, however. On the contrary, many people believe there were good things that came out of it. In fact, many of the benefits seem to outweigh the downsides of the fire. The tragedy paved the way for whole new city layout, improved building quality, as well as pro viding jobs for thousands of people. A cow, a simple little cow, was believed to be the one who started it all. The cow belonged to the now famous OLeary family. The story has it that one small kerosene lantern left in the barn near some dry piles of hay had started the extremely disastrous and widespread Great Chicago Fire. Recently, a historian by the name of Robert Cromie has uncovered facts to disprove the tale of the OLeary cow. Taking a look at the city of Chicago before the fire, the city was overcrowded and was very poorly designed in many ways. There was an unprecedented number of homeless, and overall filth in some parts of the city had hit an unthinkable high. In many ways the Chicago fire gave the city another chance to be designed better to improve things like transportation. The rebuilding process also gave the city chance to better organize the districts (i.e., industrial, financial, and residential). Improvements i...

Comparison of The Uniform Commercial Code and UCITA - Essay Example Commerce clause which was founded in article 1,section 8 of the U.S. constitution was the one of the first and most significant attempts of the U.S. government to promote uniformity in commercial laws from state to state. Two key factors in section 8 are: "To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes" and "To establish a uniform Rule of Naturalization and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States". The National Conference of commissioners on uniform state laws (NCCUSL) on July 29 adopted Uniform Computer Information Transactions Act (UCITA) after revising the proposals again and again. The (UCC) Uniform Commercial Code is intended to promote uniformity in the area of (CIT) Computer Information Transactions. Discuss why space exploration is not a waste of money Essay
Discuss why space exploration is not a waste of money - Essay Example As the world continues to struggle with the economic recession, the question on whether expenses on space exploration mission can be justified continues to be debated. This paper discusses" why space exploration is not a waste of money" There are hundreds of missions, which has been launched with a view to explore the extra-terrestrial bodies from the Mars to the moon and to other periphery of the solar system. From each of these bodies, mankind has been able to learn something about the universe, what constitutes it and what lies beyond the planet earth. Hereunder are prime factors underlying the justifying the important need for heavy spending on space exploration? Through space exploration of planets including Venus, Mars, Mercury, Saturn, Jupiter and others mass, man has gathered important information that has been used by scientists to unravel the question of why there only emerged life on earth. Scientists have also unravelled the mystery of solar system formation. With the recent space exploration on Planet mass, imaginative ideas of living on Mars have been put to rest, while at the same time confirming the existence of water on the mass. According to Kranz (2011) the knowledge of the nature of planets alongside their gravitational dynamics, and the structure of the solar system is a template that can help scientists to identify extra solar planets that revolve around stars that may harbour life. The underlying motive behind exploring the planets including Moon and Mars is that they can be future potential habitable places. It is, therefore, important to develop technologies that can make it possible for mankind to settle in these hostile worlds. This requires resources are dedication towards technologies that enable mankind to understand the material resources, composition, surface conditions and atmosphere of these worlds. Space exploration is one of the greatest challenge to mankind. The
